About Timeframer

Timeframer · the art clock

A clock where every digit is an illustration.

A 9 poured in latte art, a 0 that turns out to be a swimming pool, a 4 in marquee lights. The time changes; the art changes with it. Leave it on any screen and the hours become an exhibition that never hangs the same show twice.

Free on the web and in the iPhone and iPad app. Timeframer Pro is one optional purchase, never a subscription.

Where it lives

An iPhone on a concrete ledge in a tattoo studio, showing the time in pink lollipop digits
01

In the studio

A reception screen, the monitor on the wall of an agency, a phone propped on the shelf of a tattoo studio. Somewhere a screensaver would bounce, something considered hangs instead. Clients read the time; what they remember is the taste.

An iPhone on a walnut dock between vintage cameras, showing the time in black-and-white photographs
02

At home

An old monitor, a spare tablet, a phone on its dock among the cameras. Timeframer turns idle glass into a quiet piece for the room, with galleries to match the mood. Nothing to scroll, nothing to tap: a screen that finally just sits there, being lovely.

An iPhone on a wooden stand at a gaming desk, showing the time in retro video-game digits
03

On your desk

Below the monitor or beside it: the time, timers, Pomodoro and world clocks at a glance, framed like it belongs on a wall, not in a menu bar.

The galleries

Every set is a family of ten illustrated digits, one artistic style carried through every numeral: art-deco linework, aerial photography, neon, origami, graffiti, things that should never have been asked to be a number and agreed anyway. Pin a favourite or let a gallery rotate, as often as every minute. New sets join the collection over time.

Frame Builder

Put your phone away, in style.

Dock your iPhone in a frame made for it and it stops being a phone: it charges, and becomes a Timeframer clock. On the desk or on the wall.

A screen that asks nothing

Most screens are engineered to keep you looking. This one is happy to be glanced at. There is no feed to pull, no badge to clear, no algorithm waiting for a reaction: just the time, dressed differently every few minutes. On iPhone, stand it on the desk while you work and the phone stops being a slot machine and becomes a small framed picture that happens to know the hour, out of your hands and still in view. It's the rare screen time that asks for less of you, not more.
